It is indeed so appalling. Exactly. The systemic discrimination against women in this region is insane. Thankfully, many women are standing up and doing their best to change things, but there’s SO MUCH to be done. How do we change/reform such deeply misogynistic cultures, systems, governments, etc? It’s something I’m constantly thinking about.

I’m super worried about Afghanistan. I’m very concerned about the women and what will happen to them…Their situation is already bad and will definitely only get worse under the Taliban.
